Nicole Canegata is a commercial, lifestyle and fine art photographer with over 10 years of photography experience. Currently based in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where she was born and raised, Nicole specializes in architectural, food, portraiture, wedding and special events photography.
After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA, Nicole had the amazing opportunity to intern for and be published in Santa Barbara Magazine. She is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), a non-profit photography association, and her fine art prints have been featured in several exhibitions in the USVI and California.
Her first solo exhibit, "The Traveling Lense" was the catalyst that inspired her to quit her financial research job of eight years and pursue photography as a full-time career. Nicole also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Duquesne University and is an alumna of the Institute for Shipboard's Education, Semester at Sea, study abroad program. She is currently the resident artist at the Henle Gallery and teaches photography part-time to high school students at the Good Hope Country Day School.
A traveler at heart, Nicole has visited six continents, 54 countries, and over 190 cities across the globe, and is available for travel worldwide. She is an avid reader, and when she isn't shooting on location or editing her life away, you can find Nicole at the Barre, on her yoga mat or at the beach.
